Tenants: How to Qualify

There are two ways tenants can qualify (and apply for) the ERA Funded Landlord-Tenant Mediation Program. Read on to determine which path is right for you. Tenant Referral Form    VERAP Application

Path 1: Approved for VERAP or you receive services through Reach Up ERA (AHS/DCF)

If you already have an application approved through VERAP, the next step is to fill out the tenant referral form. Once we receive your referral form, we will confirm with VERAP that you are approved. Then, once your Landlord submits their application, a mediator will be assigned.

If you are receiving rental assistance through Reach UP ERA (AHS/DCF) you are eligible for the mediation program. Qualifying programs include:

  • • Reach Up
  • • Reach First
  • • Reach Ahead
  • • Post-Secondary Education Program (PSE), and
  • • Child-Only households with at least one parent in receipt of SSI

Path 2: Not enrolled in VERAP or Reach Up ERA program (AHS/DCF)
