Rental Housing Advisory Board

This past legislative session, Act 188 was created.  This bill made a few changes to the Town Health Officer statute regarding the duties of the Town Health Officer.  The bill also created a Rental Housing Advisory Board.

The Association Director, Angela Zaikowski, was recently appointed to the Board by the Commissoner of the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development.  More information on the Board can be found here.  Information on the Board members, background information on the Town Health Officer program, and training can be found by following that link.

The upcoming board meetings are scheduled for:

  • July 31, 2018
  • August 28, 2018
  • September 25, 2018
  • October 30, 2018
  • November 27, 2018
The Association will be keeping Members aprised of the work of the Board.  The charge of the Board is to specifically look at the system of Code Enforcement in Vermont and make recommendations for a system to be implimented.  We also anticipate some sort of emphasis on a Rental Registry.
